My name is Szilvia Helényi, I am Hungarian and I have been teaching Hungarian for 18 years in many language schools and companies in Budapest.

Since 2010 I have been working as a self-employed private teacher giving face-to-face and Skype lessons for people from all over the world.

I speak English and French, and most importantly, I really love teaching and it makes me happy to see people enjoying the lessons, making progress and achieving their goals.

If you agree with me that a good Hungarian lesson is a lesson where…

  • lessons are based on vocabulary and communication rather than on grammar
  • your teacher gets you speaking Hungarian right from the start
  • your teacher has a good lesson planning with an interesting, interactive and current material that fits your interest and knowledge level
  • your lessons are centered on everyday situations and lots of practice
  • your teacher is always well prepared and has an engaging, friendly and dynamic style
  • you have a teacher who enjoys teaching
